The F100 is the semi-pro version of the F5 and it is this F100 which will serve as a construction model for the Nikon D1, the first truly Pro digital released in 1999.

Below, the F100 mounted on the Nikon SK-6 accessory which is a special Power bracket for lateral connection of a flash. The flash is connected to the camera by a cord and the AS-16 connector. It is also possible to use the built-in power supply (4 AA batteries) connected to the flash. That increase the flash frequency.
