After the release of the Nikon F2 in 1971, the older Nikon Fs continued to be manufactured and the later 5000 inherited from the F2 the black plastic grip for the cocking lever and for the self-timer latch. In addition, cruciform screws were used. These last Fs were baptized "Apollo" in memory of the Apollo missions of the NASA at the time. These cameras have never been subjected to the effects of lunar weightlessness ...! The device presented here is one of the first in this series and is in very good functional, optical and aesthetic condition.
