In order to resume his full-time activity as an artist-painter, G. Sigriste stopped the production of his cameras and dismissed his workers in December 1903. One of these workers, J. Diziens, took it upon himself to continue the construction and the repairs with the parts that remain in the factory. According to these data and the serial number of the optics, the camera would have been built by this worker at the earliest in 1912.
The Sigriste is a special camera with a shutter mechanism that can reach speeds of up to 1/5000th of a second and even faster, quite exceptional for its time.
