The Richard company - Jules Richard died in 1930 - began developing the Verascope F 40 in 1938, but it was not released until after the war in 1945.
On 35 mm film with 36 exposures, 21 stereo pairs of 34 x 30 mm were obtained. Between the two images of one pair, there was an image of the next pair, and so on.
The camera has a coupled rangefinder focusing system. The fixed focal length of the camera is 40 mm, hence the name Verascope F 40.
Both magnetic and electronic flash sockets appeared on the camera in the ‘50s.
The two matching sun visors are ‘Made in Germany’!
