Perhaps best known for his research and production in the field of cinematography, Léon Gaumont is director of the “Comptoir Général de la Photographie” in 1895 and built cameras such series Spido from 1898 and Block-Notes 1904 . From 1930, the firm is particularly devoted to the movies that made his world-famous. After World War II, Gaumont entrusts the production of its Spido to Kinora society of Paris until 1954.
