This camera is not a pair of binoculars, it only looks like one. The right eyecup only shows a level bubble and can be opened to provide access for loading stereo plates. The left eyecup is the viewfinder. On the left side of the binoculars there are two openings behind which the two lenses are placed. the viewfinder returns the image at 90° through one of the holes on the left side. The shutter takes two stereoscopic views. It's the classic situation of the gentleman on the beach who takes the picture of a beautiful bather pretending to look in the face with his binoculars. The two glasses at the end of the binoculars are a deceptive decoration.
