The Hasselblad 500 EL/M is an electrically controlled camera that manages all aspects of shooting: shutter, mirror and film advance. It is equipped with a 70 film back that holds two large spools, one of which must be loaded with 7 cm wide and 4.7 m long film to take 70 6 x 6 cm photos. The film is double perforated. The motor is powered by one or two 6 V batteries, which can be recharged using the manufacturer's charger. The base of the camera is equipped with a quick-release plate.
In this case, the rechargeable battery is too old and no longer charges. An adaptation system using five AAA batteries has revived this camera, which is in excellent condition. To use the camera, I attach an A12 magazine instead of the 70 magazine, which uses a film that is no longer commonly available.
